Pre Prep Sports Day 2025: Sunshine, Smiles, and Sporting Spirit!

Under glorious blue skies, Slingpool Walk was buzzing with excitement as families gathered to watch our youngest pupils take part in this year’s Sports Day. With children from Nursery to Year 2 involved, it was a true celebration of effort, fun and teamwork.

After weeks of enthusiastic practice in their PE lessons, the children were more than ready to rise to the occasion. They kicked off the morning with huge smiles, boundless energy, and just a touch of healthy competition.

Events included the ever-popular running race, the energetic obstacle course, and, of course, the classic egg and spoon race. The focus and concentration shown by the children as they carefully balanced their eggs across the finish line was remarkable! The obstacle course was a particular highlight, featuring some brilliant skipping and determined crawling through the pop-up hurdles. It was fantastic to see the children using their agility and coordination with such joy and determination.

What stood out most, however, was the spirit of encouragement that filled the air. Pupils clapped and cheered one another on with real enthusiasm, celebrating both effort and success with equal delight. It was a morning that truly reflected the warmth and community of our school.

We are incredibly proud of every Pre Prep pupil for their perseverance, positivity and participation. A huge thank you to our wonderful families for coming along to support, and to the Pre Prep and PE staff for organising such a joyful event.
