Pre-Prep Summer Show: A Magical Afternoon

On Wednesday afternoon, the Pre-Prep Hall was transformed into a world of wonder as we welcomed parents, grandparents, and friends for our annual Summer Show. This year’s theme was magic, inspired by the creative work the children produced during our recent Arts Week. From wizards and witches to fairies and magicians, the children looked spectacular in their colourful costumes, ready to enchant their audience.

The performance was a joyful celebration of music, movement, and imagination, with each class taking to the stage to share a variety of group numbers. We were especially proud to feature five solo performances from our talented Year 2 pupils, who confidently took centre stage as they prepare to move up to the Prep School in September.

In addition to their class acts, each group showcased a French song or dance they had been learning in their Languages lessons with Madame Kilbey, a fantastic way to celebrate language learning through performance.

The children’s confidence, enthusiasm and hard work over the past few weeks truly shone through and their vibrant artwork displayed beautifully around the hall added even more magic to the afternoon. Following the show, the children and their guests enjoyed a well-deserved cream tea in our Forest School, the perfect ending to a special day.

A huge thank you to Mrs Gunter and Madame Kilbey for their dedication and creativity in bringing the show to life and to all our families for coming along to support and celebrate with us. It was a magical afternoon we will all remember!
