Pupils produce another superb week
Today we joined together to celebrate another fantastic week of achievements. Assembly started with Year Six pupil, Jetta P playing the Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book on her saxophone. It was an extremely funky way to start the day, with members of the school tapping their feet and nodding along to the familiar tune.
Yesterday, the U11 Netball Team competed in the IAPS Qualifiers at Millfield School. The girls stormed through the group stages, with four very convincing wins. They then sailed through the quarterfinals with another comfortable victory. Unfortunately, in the semi-final they lost by one goal and so finished the day fourth out of 20 teams; this is nevertheless quite an achievement for our small Prep School. Not only did the girls play some excellent netball, they were also commended for their brilliant sportsmanship and manners. A number of schools noted that the girls were polite, well-behaved and, as such, were great ambassadors for the School.
Achievements Outside School
Well done to Cassian W, who recently won the U8 League with Ombersley Tennis Club; this in addition to the U9 title which he won previously.
Charlotte and Chloe P were presented with four rosettes for their recent efforts in an E-Rider Dressage Competition. The competition differs slightly from more traditional dressage contests in that the girls competed in their own arena and filmed their efforts; these were then submitted to a judging panel. Chloe gained a First and Fourth-Place Rosette, whilst Charlotte gained a Fifth-Place Rosette. Well done girls!
