U8 & U9 Netball v Winterfold House School

Another fantastic afternoon of netball for the U8 & U9 girls on Tuesday. It is lovely to walk around the school in the morning and hear how excited they are about these matches. Our Year 3 girls have worked hard and should be extremely pleased with their achievements with their netball so far this term. It was nice to have the year 4 girls mix with the year 3 and to see how they encouraged and supported each other.

Well done to Tilly, Mia and Edith for being voted as their teams ‘Player of the Afternoon’, all very well deserved!

U9 A and B Netball v Winterfold

The girls had a lovely afternoon playing Stinger against Winterfold, rotating their positions every quarter. The A team gelled well and moved the ball up the court nicely with some excellent shots on goal. Passing could have been a bit more accurate and we will work on that in the coming weeks. The girls were moving nicely into space but now need to work on coming towards the ball. Final score 8-2 to KSA, well done! The B team have also improved and it was lovely to see them moving into space. Again we need to practise throwing into the space but another close win – well done! 3-2.

U9 Football Tournament at RGS The Grange

The U9 team played in three tough games against Blue Coat Birmingham, The Elms and RGS The Grange. Mark F started in goal and put his body on the line to make some good saves. Ben J and Louie F played well in defence and made crucial tackles and distributed the ball out of our half to ensure KSA kept possession. Will B, Harry B, Luca E and Harry D played in midfield and they all worked very hard all afternoon. Archie was using his electric speed up front to get on the end of the through balls that were played for him. A tough afternoon against strong opposition but the boys showed good skill, resilience and work rate.
