Pupils spread cheer at Perry Manor.

On Wednesday 10 girls from Year 6 travelled to Perry Manor Care Home after receiving an invitation to join residents to hear visiting local author Gillian Young.

Gillian brought along her gorgeous golden retriever Poppy, who was a big hit with students and residents alike. Gillian read from her latest book Poppy Loves Devon and the children loved hearing a snippet of Poppy’s adventure.

The residents and staff were incredibly welcoming, and Gillian said the girls were a credit to the School. They were impeccably behaved, asked interesting questions, and chatted confidently to the residents.
