Real-Life Maths in Year 4

Year 4 pupils have been enjoying their recent maths topic all about money, using practical activities to develop their confidence with real-life calculations.

As part of their learning, pupils explored the cost of different snacks, carefully calculating totals and working out how much change they would receive. They also challenged themselves further by calculating the cost of snacks for others, helping to strengthen their addition, subtraction and problem-solving skills.

It has been wonderful to see pupils applying their mathematical understanding in such a practical and engaging way, while developing confidence in handling money and calculating change accurately.
