Reception and Year 1 Create Bird Feeders in Forest School

Our Reception and Year 1 pupils had an exciting time in Forest School, combining creativity with care for nature as they made bird feeders to help our feathered friends through the winter months.

Armed with fat balls and bird seeds, the children got stuck into the activity, shaping and assembling their bird feeders with enthusiasm. They learned about the importance of helping birds find food during colder seasons and how small actions can make a big difference in supporting local wildlife.

The session was a perfect blend of hands-on fun and environmental education, encouraging the children to think about the world around them. Afterward, the pupils proudly took their creations home, excited to hang them up and see which birds might visit.

Well done everyone, for your wonderful efforts to make a positive impact on our natural surroundings!
