Reception Explore Autumn on the Farm

This week, Reception have dived into their exciting new topic, Autumn on the Farm. They kicked off the week with the story of the Little Red Hen, and inspired by her adventures, the children rolled up their sleeves on Wednesday to make their very own bread! They carefully weighed out the ingredients, worked together to mix and knead, and all enjoyed tasting the delicious results once baked.

The children have also been exploring the school grounds, hunting for the many signs of autumn. From collecting colourful fallen leaves to noticing seasonal changes around them, they brought their discoveries back to the classroom, where they used the leaves for painting, printing, and leaf rubbings.

It has been a week full of hands-on learning, creativity, and sensory fun, helping Reception celebrate the magic of autumn both inside and outdoors.
