Reception: Learning, Exploring and Having Fun
Reception have had another wonderfully busy week, filled with learning, exploration and plenty of fun! From washing babies and tasting different fruits to enjoying their first French lessons and getting creative at Forest School, there has been lots for the children to discover.
Alongside these exciting experiences, the children have continued to impress us with their progress in their daily Phonics and Maths lessons. Their listening skills and understanding are developing beautifully, and it has been fantastic to see them becoming increasingly confident learners.
In Maths, our focus has been on numbers and patterns. The children have been counting, sequencing and solving problems using their knowledge of numbers to 10. They have enjoyed exploring different ways to recognise and use numbers, while developing their mathematical thinking.
There was also plenty of opportunity to get creative too, the paint came out and the children had great fun expressing their ideas through colour and creativity!
