Reception Welcomes a Visit from the Police

As part of their “People Who Help Us” topic, Reception children had an exciting visit from the police this week!

The officers spoke to the children about the important role the police play in keeping communities safe and helping those in need.

The children were captivated by the engaging talk, which introduced them to the various ways the police assist people every day. They also had the chance to ask questions, sparking curiosity about this essential profession.

A highlight of the visit was dressing up in police outfits, giving the children a hands-on experience and plenty of fun. Seeing themselves as mini police officers added an extra layer of excitement to the day.

Earlier this term, the children also carried out a thrilling detective hunt around the school, where Mrs. Butt was hilariously “caught red-handed”! This activity added a sense of adventure and set the stage for learning more about investigative work and how the police solve problems!
