Reception’s ‘Share with Me’ Workshop: A Morning Full of Fun and Discovery

On Tuesday morning, Reception welcomed their parents to the much-anticipated annual ‘Share with Me’ workshop, a highlight of the school calendar. The children were excited to showcase all the amazing learning they have been doing over the first few weeks of term.

The morning began with a lively phonics session, where the pupils demonstrated the sounds they have been learning and played a variety of fun, interactive games to apply their skills to reading words. Parents were delighted to see their children confidently sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for learning.

Next, the children took their parents on a tour around the classroom, guiding them through a series of hands-on activities. These included a bilateral coordination challenge, squirting numbers outdoors, and creative leaf printing. The pupils not only enjoyed leading the activities but also demonstrated excellent teamwork and communication skills, making the morning full of energy, laughter and learning.

The session concluded with the Reception end-of-day song, sung with gusto, bringing smiles to both children and parents alike. It was a wonderful opportunity for families to experience first-hand the joy, curiosity, and creativity that fill our classrooms every day.

Our ‘Share with Me’ workshop is always a special event, allowing pupils to shine while giving parents a glimpse into the exciting world of Reception learning.
