Remote Learning: German lessons continue

Pupils across the King’s Foundation have adapted to a new way of learning over the past few weeks. Pupils from Reception to Year 6 have been able to continue their education through our remote learning platforms. Teaching staff have ensured a varied curriculum has continued to be delivered. Pupils at King’s Hawford start German lessons in their Pre-School year whilst in Kindergarten 2 and continue to learn the language throughout their time at the school. Learning a foreign language from an early age is seen as being very beneficial. Research has shown that learning a second language boosts problem-solving, critical-thinking, and listening skills. It also helps to improve memory, concentration and the ability to multitask. With the many benefits apparent, German lessons have formed an important part of our remote learning curriculum at King’s Hawford.

We are very grateful to Mrs Hyde for providing Hawford pupils with brilliant German tuition over the past few weeks! Below is a short video which shows a brief glimpse of the German lessons our pupils have had access to.
