Year 3 & 4 House Matches

The Year 3 and Year 4 House Hockey event was a spectacular showcase of skill, teamwork, and resilience. This house event provided a unique platform for every girl in Year 3 and 4 to proudly represent their house in competitive hockey matches, culminating in a fitting end to their season-long hockey journey. The event not only demonstrated their hockey prowess but also emphasized the importance of teamwork, fostering a sense of camaraderie as they celebrated triumphs together as a house whether it be Bredon, Clent, Malvern or Kinver.

Individually, the girls showcased remarkable progress in their hockey, demonstrating their dedication and enthusiasm for the sport. The joy and fun of the event were palpable as each match contributed valuable points to the overall house competition. Winning became more than just a score; it became a collective achievement, highlighting the growth and development of each participant.

Despite challenging weather conditions, the girls exhibited extraordinary effort, positive attitudes, and unwavering resilience. Mrs. Butt, thoroughly impressed by their grit, commended their ability to play through the cold and wet conditions without letting it dampen their spirits. The girls, undeterred by the challenges, returned to school with a well-deserved sense of accomplishment. Their resilience was further celebrated with hot chocolate and biscuits shared among teammates, creating a warm and memorable moment to cap off a soggy yet successful day of hockey.

Well done to all the girls in Year 3 and Year 4, you should be very proud of your achievements!

U11 County Hockey Tournament

The U11 girls travelled to RGS The Grange who hosted the County Hockey Tournament this season. After a particularly cold and frosty morning the girls were relieved and delighted to get the confirmation that the tournament was still going ahead.

The games were end to end with some fantastic play through the midfield between Millie B, Harriet B and Marnie P. Pippa P came on and made an immediate impact to the game with some great positional play and deliveries into the area. Hattie D worked hard up front and had several opportunities on target. Pip K came on showcasing some silky skills on the wing to get the ball up the field. It was a particularly powerful performance from Jetta P and Holly J in defence. Both girls had a lot to do and delivered well timed tackles at every opportunity and followed up with some outstanding clearances and deliveries up to the midfield. Darcy B was a force in goal demonstrating some incredibly athletic dives to deny the opposition on numerous occasions. Harriet B scored a tremendous reverse stick goal and had several other impressive shots on target but was denied by a particularly good goalkeeper for Bromsgrove. The girls should be very proud of their performance and of the exceptional level of hockey that they are playing as the season comes to a close.
