Scholastic Book Fair ensures pupils continue to read for good
There was much excitement around the School as the Scholastic Book Fair arrived last Tuesday. The children visited for a “viewing session” to see which books they might like to buy, and the selection on offer did not disappoint!
It is always so lovely to see such enthusiasm for books and reading, and the children enjoyed discussing what they were going to buy. Their faces lit up as they hunted through the shelves for their perfect purchase.
We are very proud of the fantastic culture of reading that we have developed at KSA. Having the Scholastic Book Fair annually always plays an important role in this, along with our other reading initiatives such as “Read for Good” and our “World Book Week”: why have just one day, when you can have a whole week dedicated to reading?
We are also lucky that we receive commission from the books we sell, and we’re looking forward to adding up our takings, which will be ploughed back into producing more reading resources for the School!
Happy reading, everyone!
