Speakeasy Ball a Roaring Success!
The King’s Hawford Speakeasy Ball was an unforgettable evening of glitz, glamour, and generosity. Set against a stunning backdrop of 1920s style, the event transported guests straight into the heart of the Prohibition era, complete with vintage charm and entertainment galore.
Paisley Flour wowed with exquisite catering, while Mr Flavour’s deliciously themed cocktails kept spirits high. Guests were treated to live watercolour portraits throughout the evening, adding a unique and personal touch to the festivities. Entertainment was top-notch, with magic from the mesmerising Max Butler, a fun-filled Magic Mirror photo booth, and live music from two incredible bands – the ‘Kings Swingers’ from Kings Senior School, and the sensational ‘Smooth Criminals’, who had everyone dancing into the night.
A highlight of the evening was the charity auction, which proved a phenomenal success, helping to raise valuable funds for the new outdoor classroom project. The King’s Hawford Parents’ Association were delighted to raise almost £15,000 on the evening.
A heartfelt thank you to both staff and parents who bought tickets to the Speakeasy ball and came together for such a wonderful community event. It’s a truly special event when you get to see the Headmaster dancing on a chair!
Also a special mention to those who helped plan, organise, set up, coordinate, and importantly the big clear down the following morning. Without you, none of this would be possible.
What a night to remember!
Same time next year?!
