Speech Days Celebrate an Incredible Year
The last week has seen pupils, families and staff came together for our annual Speech Days that celebrate another fantastic school year.
Prep Speech Day
Prep Speech Day was a memorable occasion that recognised the incredible achievements of our children, celebrated our amazing Year 6 pupils as they prepare for their next exciting chapter, and heard inspiring speeches from our Heads of School. We were also delighted to welcome Mr Charles, who presented this year’s awards, as well as Chair of Governors, Mrs Preston.
Everyone enjoyed a series of outstanding performances from our talented pupils. The senior choir sang ‘Friend Like Me’ and ‘Bare Necessities’, the junior choir sang ‘Consider Yourself’ and ‘I’d Do Anything’, followed by impressive performances from Henry D and Will G on the cello and Austin R on the bassoon.
A huge thank you to all our families, staff and friends who joined us to celebrate this special occasion. It was the perfect way to reflect on an incredible year, celebrate everything our pupils have accomplished, and wish our Year 6 pupils every success as they begin their next adventure.

Pre-Prep Speech Day
King’s Hawford Pre-Prep Speech Day 2026 was a wonderful celebration of our pupils’ achievements, talents and personal growth throughout the year. The event began with a warm welcome from Mr Roberts, followed by a whole Pre-Prep performance of ‘Be Curious, Caring and Confident’, setting the tone for the afternoon’s theme.
The audience enjoyed a variety of musical performances, including a special presentation by Ottillie, Rose and Mathilda from Year 2. Each year group then showcased their learning through song, with Reception performing ‘Who, What, Where, Why and When?’ to reflect the theme of Be Curious, Year 1 singing ‘A Little Bit of Kindness’ to celebrate Be Caring, and Year 2 performing ‘Stand Tall’ to inspire everyone to Be Confident.
Pupils also delighted families with an energetic dance performance to The Family Madrigal, before the whole Pre-Prep came together for a heartfelt rendition of What a Wonderful World. The afternoon concluded with final reflections from Mr Butt, bringing to a close a memorable celebration of the children’s hard work, confidence and achievements over the past year.
