Tiny Tadpole Explorers: Nursery Dives into STEM Discovery
There was a real buzz of excitement in Nursery this week as our youngest learners discovered the fascinating world of tadpoles up close! Armed with magnifying glasses and eager eyes, the children gathered around to observe these tiny wriggling creatures in their tank.
This hands-on experience was a brilliant opportunity to spark curiosity and wonder, as part of our ongoing focus on early STEM learning. The children were full of questions: “Do they have teeth?”, “How do they swim so fast?”, and “When will they grow legs?”, showing just how engaged and inquisitive they were.
Using magnifying glasses gave them the chance to notice fine details and prompted some wonderful conversations about life cycles, habitats, and changes in nature. Moments like these are so valuable in encouraging scientific thinking and a love of learning from an early age.
It was a joy to see our little explorers so engaged and enthusiastic, asking thoughtful questions and sharing their observations with such delight. Experiences like this not only deepen their understanding of the natural world but also lay the foundation for a lifelong love of discovery. We can’t wait to see what they’ll investigate next!
