To start the day, the children enjoyed a walk to a new hidden Forest School site where they went on a hunt for creature fact cards. After learning about habitats, the children worked together in small teams to create a den for a fox.
Following a quick stop for lunch, the afternoon session focussed on knots, and how to make a range of knots to improve their shelters. Carrying on with the fox theme, the children sat together to enjoy the beginning of Fantastic Mr Fox, which inspired a number of games, including Sly Fox, What’s the Time Mr Fox, and Foxes and Farmers.
Well done Year 2 – a wonderful day of learning outdoors. Thank you to Bishops Wood for a marvellous trip.
