Weekly round-up: Spring Term Week 1
Today we are combining the awards made this morning and at our end of term assembly which took place on 14th December. Although neither was a full Celebration Assembly, there are a few shout-outs which could not be ignored!
Well done to Luna, Tiegan and Thomas H on getting full marks in every dictation exercise last term. What a superb achievement, all of you!
Well done to Sebastian, Ace, Jasper, Helena, Evie R, Alice, Laura, Izzy L, Katie and Charlotte who all earned a distinction in the Bebras Computing Challenge. Ace also came in the top 10% in the UK, which is a superb achievement. Well done, all of you!
Mrs Lewis was delighted with the thorough research which Laura, Karla and Aelwen put into finding facts about our Solar System.
Beth, Sam, Monty, Helena, Karla, Rook, Lottie, Alice, Arslan and Otto were congratulated on the Colour Poems which they wrote in French. They demonstrated excellent knowledge of French grammar, and the use of nouns and adjectives.
Mrs Cain certainly kept the children busy in the final weeks of last term. Year 6 were tasked with designing a structure to hold a tea light, an egg or a test tube and Emily, Ivan, Sienna D, Arthur and Mila proudly showed us their excellent constructions. Mr Cain was also delighted with the Christmas tree decorations which George, Brody, Ariya and Isy made in AFP.
Our annual competition to make a Christmas tree decoration was a great success again. There were so many wonderful and varied creations that the tree looked spectacular. Well done to Mikaeel, Tiegan, Henry D, Romi, Ben, Tommy D, Isy, Sienna Y, Phoebe, Laura, Ivan and Erin who each won a prize for their Year Group.
Finally, congratulations to Emily who received a certificate from Worcester Gymnastics Club, in recognition of always being polite and helpful – as well as making terrific progress in her gymnastics!
