Weekly round up: Spring Term Week 2

Reception

  • Ivan earned a Risk Taking certificate because he is keen to try new experiences and ask lots of questions.
  • Rory is the class Super Star for working really hard all week and especially in phonics.

Year 1

  • A Kindness award went to Hibah for thinking of others and being a good friend.
  • Thomas received a Super Star award for being an enthusiastic learner.

Year 2

  • A Risk Taker certificate went to Poppy for always having a go and not being afraid to make mistakes.
  • The Super Star this week is Maddie, for showing maturity and self-reflection.
  • Mr Chapman visited Year 2 during their art lesson this week and was amazed at the standard of their work. Inspired by the forthcoming Chinese New Year, the children were working on ink and oil pastel pictures of Chinese Cherry Blossoms.  In particular, well done to Savannah, Max, Persie and Poppy, who proudly showed us their stunning pictures.

Year 4

  • Well done to Skye and Zara, who raised £112 for Project Gambia by making and selling colourful bracelets at breaktime this week.
  • Ivy, Izzy, Phoebe and Louie received their Mindfulness Ambassadors’ badges.

Year 5

  • Well done to Emily and George on the super Zentangle bird pictures they created in the outdoor classroom during a mindfulness session this week.
  • Martha, Charlotte, Laura and Aelwen have decided to start a Book Club for avid readers in the Prep School. More details will follow, but well done girls on this wonderful initiative.
  • Aaron, Monty, Seb and Lily received their Mindfulness Ambassadors’ badges.

Year 6

  • Ace and Georgina were congratulated on the detailed research and excellent presentation of their project on rivers.
  • Lucy, Iman, Evie and Katie received their Mindfulness Ambassadors’ badges.
