On Friday evening it was with great pleasure that the Headmaster, Mr Chapman, in conjunction with the King’s St Alban’s Parents Social Group , opened the school gates to new faces for the ‘Last Barbeque of the Season’. The event, aimed at families new to the King’s St Alban’s family having joined in September, also included those who joined in September 2020 when we were unable to host such events.
The sun shone in the Forest School on a glorious late September evening, offering the new faces of parents, children and staff a fantastic opportunity to get together for a relaxed and informal event. The school catering department provided a phenomenal spread, complete with hot dogs and burgers for the children and marinated chicken for those slightly more ambitious palates, accompanied with numerous delicious salads.
It is events such as this that King’s St Alban’s as a family community has really missed over the last 18 months. We look ahead to being able to support the King’s St Alban’s Parents Social Group in a full range of events and activities over the coming months. The first such event is the Halloween Party to be hosted on Saturday 9th October, full details have been sent to parents. Fancy dress costumes, disco dancing and spooky adventures aplenty are in store for children and parents alike. We look forward to seeing as many parents and pupils there as possible.
If you are interested in becoming part of the King’s St Alban’s Parents Social Group committee then please contact the school office or find them on Facebook for more information – support no matter how much, or how little will always be gratefully received.
