Wind Band Hit the Right Notes
In their weekly rehearsals, Wind Band have been full of energy and focus as they began learning the lively jazz classic Little Brown Jug. From the very first bar, pupils rose to the challenge with enthusiasm, embracing the piece’s upbeat tempo and intricate rhythms.
The saxophone section in particular brought a rich, characterful sound to the rehearsal, capturing the spirit of swing with confidence and flair. Across the ensemble, there was a clear sense of teamwork as pupils worked hard to master new notes and syncopated passages.
These weekly rehearsals continue to be a highlight for many, providing a fun and rewarding space to develop ensemble skills and musicality. With Little Brown Jug already sounding fantastic, we can’t wait to hear the final performance!
