Worcester Cathedral Assembly: A Time for Thought and Togetherness
This morning, our school community gathered in the beautiful setting of Worcester Cathedral for our whole school assembly, an inspiring and peaceful way to begin the day together.
We are very grateful to Dr Dorsett, who led the assembly and shared a thoughtful message about Ascension, which will be marked in the Christian calendar next Thursday, 29th May. He encouraged us all to reflect on how we can see the example of Jesus in the world around us, through the kindness, compassion, and integrity shown by those we live, work, and play alongside each day. His words offered both comfort and challenge, reminding us of the importance of looking outward and leading lives rooted in empathy and faith.
Our youngest pupils in Nursery particularly enjoyed the experience—sitting wide-eyed as they took in the awe-inspiring beauty of the cathedral. They spent time looking up at the towering ceilings, stained glass windows, and the intricate architecture all around them, captivated by the grandeur of the space. We also thank Jackson, Pip, and Cerys, who led the prayers and delivered the reading with great confidence and clarity.
Our next Cathedral assembly will take place on Friday, 27th June, and we look forward once again to gathering as a whole school.
