Heartstone Workshop for Y6

This term, Year 6 have taken part in the Heartstone Project, which aims to challenge prejudice, intolerance and hate through reading, discussion and work based on the book The Heartstone Odyssey. On Tuesday afternoon, the children took part in an online workshop led by dance and drama students from Liverpool University. They were taught Indian mudras, which are symbolic or ritual gestures. Using symbols, body language and facial expressions, the children were able to tell stories from the Odyssey.  We are hoping to record and share these as part of our exhibition of our work next term.
