Festive fun has been in constant supply this week. We ended the week with a Christmassy bang, thanks to two wonderful performances of Ralph the Reindeer by children in Year 1 and Year 2.
The story starts as disaster strikes Santa’s Christmas preparations; a poorly Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer has left Santa with nobody to pull his sleigh along! Luckily Ralph and Rudolph solve the problem together and manage to save the day.
All of the children have worked extremely hard over the past few weeks, learning their lines, dance routines and the words to the songs. It was brilliant to see it all come together in their performances this week. The dress rehearsal on Wednesday was attended by our Reception children who all agreed that the show was “amazing!”. It is safe to say the elves and reindeer stole the show, wowing the audiences at both performances.
The performance was great fun and showcased the cheeky personalities of our Year 1 and Year 2 children. They all performed with energy, enthusiasm and confidence. We are sure that we will see many of them grace the stage in future productions, both here and at Big King’s. A truly theatrical bunch!
Well done to Mr Roberts, Mr Marsland, Mrs Leatherdale, Miss Attwood and the Pre-Prep teaching assistants who have all been instrumental in ensuring that everything came together and went without a hitch during each performance. A special thank you to Mrs Hughes, who again provided the wonderful musical accompaniment to this wonderful performance of Ralph the Reindeer
