Year 1 Brings History to Life with Great Fire of London
This week, Year 1 children concluded the Autumn term with a memorable hands-on history project.
Parents joined their children in building a model of Pudding Lane, the iconic setting of the Great Fire of London. The activity showcased teamwork, creativity, and imagination as the children worked together to construct their models.
To make the history lesson even more engaging, the class safely set their model bakery alight to demonstrate how the fire spread in 1666. Watching the flames move through the models gave students a vivid understanding of the events of the Great Fire, turning a key historical moment into an unforgettable learning experience.
The school expressed heartfelt thanks to the parents who participated and praised the hard work and enthusiasm of the Year 1 students. This innovative approach to learning not only brought history to life but also created lasting memories for everyone involved.
With such a successful project closing the term, students and staff alike look forward to more exciting educational adventures in the future.
