Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Contact us confidentially to arrange a conversation.

Year 1 Create Shape Monsters

This week in maths, Year 1 have been busy exploring the wonderful world of shapes! The children have been learning to identify, name and describe a variety of 2D and 3D shapes, from circles and squares to cubes and cones.

To bring their learning to life, they let their imaginations run wild by creating their very own 2D shape monsters! Using colourful paper, glue and plenty of creativity, the classroom soon filled with friendly (and a few slightly scary!) monsters made from triangles, rectangles and hexagons.

The activity was a fantastic way to combine maths with art and design, helping pupils to visualise how shapes fit together in fun and inventive ways. Well done Year 1, your shape monsters are monstrously marvellous!
