Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Contact us confidentially to arrange a conversation.

Year 1 Shine Bright with Starry Night Art

This half term, Year 1 have been exploring the wonders of ‘In the Night Sky’ through their art lessons. As part of this topic, the children have been learning about Vincent Van Gogh, focusing on his iconic painting, Starry Night.

Inspired by Van Gogh’s swirling skies and the enchanting story ‘Katie and the Starry Night’ by James Mayhew, the pupils set about creating their very own starry night masterpieces. They experimented with paint, oil pastels, and collage, carefully blending colours to capture the magic of the night sky. Of course, no starry night would be complete without a touch of sparkle, a sprinkling of glitter added the perfect finishing touch, bringing their skies to life.

The creativity, imagination, and attention to detail shown by the children were wonderful to see, and their finished artwork perfectly captures the magic of a star-filled night. These vibrant pieces are sure to brighten up our displays and celebrate the children’s artistic talents!
