Year 1 Shine in Their Class Assembly: Amazing Australia and Edward the Emu
On Thursday morning, Year 1 delighted family members and friends with a wonderful class assembly, showcasing their learning with confidence and enthusiasm.
The children spoke clearly and proudly as they shared their knowledge from this term, particularly their learning about the geography of Australia and the fascinating animals that live there. They made excellent links to their Science work, demonstrating a growing understanding of the natural world. A highlight of the assembly was their lively retelling of the story Edward the Emu, which they have been studying in English. The children delivered their lines with confidence and expression, sharing the important message of the story, that we should celebrate our own unique qualities rather than compare ourselves to others.
The assembly was filled with energy and joy, as the children sang, spoke and danced beautifully, bringing smiles to everyone in the audience.
Well done Year 1, we are incredibly proud of you!
