Year 1: Wanted! The Big Bad Wolf!

Year 1 have been busy trying to track down the Big Bad Wolf! As part of their English learning, the children have created their own exciting ‘wanted’ posters, using a range of adjectives to describe the wolf. They decided he might be sad, cheeky, mischievous or even dangerous!

The children have also brought the story of The Three Little Pigs to life by acting it out with finger puppets. They used magnetic construction to build houses for the pigs to hide in, showing plenty of creativity and imagination along the way. Everyone also enjoyed painting their own pictures of what they imagined the Big Bad Wolf might look like.

It has been a particularly exciting week as the children also had their first experience of playing the violin with Mr Gunter. They enjoyed discovering how to hold and handle the instrument and beginning their musical journey.

What a wonderful week of storytelling, creativity and new experiences for Year 1!
