Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Contact us confidentially to arrange a conversation.

Year 2 Begin Their Journey to Kenya!

This week, Year 2 launched into their exciting new Geography topic by beginning an exploration of the fascinating country of Kenya. The adventure began with the help of Google Earth, as the children zoomed out to view the world and its continents, quickly locating the United Kingdom before setting off on a virtual journey.

After scanning the globe and using their geographical detective skills, the children successfully discovered Kenya on the eastern side of Africa. With great excitement, they identified the continent it belongs to and began to compare it with what they already know about the UK.

Using iPads, the pupils then became researchers, diving deeper into facts about Kenya. They explored key information such as the population, national flag, tallest mountain (Mount Kenya), and longest river (the Tana River). The children were full of curiosity and worked brilliantly in teams to gather and share their findings.

This engaging start to their topic has sparked a real sense of interest and enthusiasm, and we’re looking forward to seeing where their learning journey takes them next!
