Year 3 and 4 Biathlon Raises Nearly £1,000 for Charity
Pupils in Year 3 and 4 have shown remarkable determination, resilience, and team spirit by taking part in a biathlon challenge to raise money for charity.
Last week, the children embraced the challenge of a demanding course, which included six lengths of the school swimming pool followed immediately by three laps around the Top Field.
Cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd of parents, staff, and classmates, the young biathletes gave it their all. They dug deep to push through the physical demands of both swimming and running, showing a level of focus and commitment beyond their years. The atmosphere was full of energy and excitement as every child crossed the finish line to rounds of applause, high-fives, and well-earned congratulations.
One of the highlights of the day was the inspiring display of mutual support among the children. From cheering friends on poolside to jogging the final lap alongside a classmate, their encouragement and kindness stood out as a true reflection of the school’s values.
“It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm and determination from all the children,” said a staff member. “They showed real perseverance and kindness, which made the event even more special.”
Thanks to their efforts—and the generosity of their families and wider school community—the event raised just under £1,000 for the school’s chosen charities. This fantastic result is a testament to the children’s physical endurance, their compassionate spirit, and their ability to come together for a great cause.
The Charity Biathlon was not only a test of stamina but also a celebration of friendship, community, and giving back—an experience the children won’t soon forget.
