Team Building at Forest School for Year 3

Year 3 had a great morning of team building activities in our wonderful Forest School area today.

The morning started with a mammoth ‘I went to the shops and I bought’ memory game, with every child (and Mrs Atkinson and Mrs Etherington) having to choose an item beginning with the first letter of their name and then remembering what other children had bought; Florence was the ‘unlucky’ last person but she succeeded brilliantly at remembering every single item bought by the children and teachers. Well done, Florence!

After a break, the children split into teams to play a game of socially-distanced ‘Whispers’.  There were some very funny ending sentences, that were most definitely not the sentences the teams started with! Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious was perhaps the most difficult to pass down the line…

The children ended the morning by exploring the Forest School area, searching for items that could be used by fairies and elves. We had some fantastic imaginative ideas, from shields and helmets to beds, boats and even fairy soup!

A fantastic day of team building, fun, friendship and fresh air was had by all. To find out more about our Forest School, and how it enriches our children’s learning, please watch our latest video here.
