Year 3 Teddy, Popcorn and Cinema Afternoon

Year 3 enjoyed a wonderfully cosy and exciting Teddy, Popcorn and Cinema Afternoon, filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of treats! The classroom was transformed into a mini cinema as pupils arrived proudly carrying their favourite teddy bears, ready to settle in for a special afternoon together.

Before the film began, the children shared the names of their teddies and the special reasons why they had chosen to bring them in. It was lovely to hear the stories behind each one, some teddies were treasured gifts, others had been companions since birth and a few had even travelled incredible distances to be here, including one teddy from Africa and another all the way from Australia! These conversations sparked lots of excitement and gave pupils the opportunity to practise their speaking and listening skills while learning more about one another.

Once everyone was comfortable, it was time for the main event. The children enjoyed munching on popcorn and party rings as they watched Kung Fu Panda, sharing laughter and excitement throughout the film. The relaxed atmosphere allowed pupils to unwind, enjoy time with friends and celebrate the end of a busy period of learning.

The afternoon was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to build friendships, share special memories and simply enjoy time together as a class.
