Year 5 Drama Club Performance

It was a tight schedule, but Drama Club came up with the goods when it mattered with a well-acted and witty performance of ‘The Show’s the Thing’ this week. They performed both to school and parents, and judging by laughter levels in both, they scored direct hits with their comic timing and clarity. The cast were uniformly impressive: fluent, mobile on stage and clearly ‘in the role’. Of particular mention was Olivia Miyoshi-Hankinson’s portrayal of Julian, the hapless director of an argumentative and accident-prone cast, clumsy stage crew and assorted hangers-on. Hers was the pivotal role in the play, and she played it with aplomb! Well done, Drama Club; you were stars!
