Year 5 Explore ‘Earth and Beyond’
Year 5 pupils have been reaching for the stars with some incredible homework projects on the theme of “Earth and Beyond”. This exciting challenge gave the children the freedom to explore any aspect of space that fascinated them and the results were truly inspiring.
Pupils chose a wide variety of topics, including the solar system, constellations, the phases of the moon, full moons, the Milky Way and even the International Space Centre. Each child approached their research in their own unique way, reflecting their curiosity and enthusiasm for the wonders of space.
The presentations themselves were just as imaginative as the topics. Pupils showcased their learning through PowerPoints, posters, 3D models, board games, quizzes, and even interactive Kahoot challenges, demonstrating not only their knowledge but also their creativity and flair for engaging an audience. The children thoroughly enjoyed the challenge, and it was wonderful to see them share their work with the rest of the class. This project not only broadened their understanding of space but also helped them develop important skills such as research, critical thinking, communication and presentation.
We are extremely proud of all the Year 5 pupils for their hard work, imagination and curiosity, truly out of this world!
