Year 5 Explore the Tudor Era
Our curious Year 5 historians have been immersing themselves in the fascinating and often turbulent world of religion and politics during the Tudor period.
As part of their history topic on the Tudors, the children have been investigating the compelling question: ‘How successful was Henry VIII’s son, Edward VI, at keeping England a Protestant country?’ Through this inquiry, they explored the significant religious and political changes that shaped this era.
The pupils engaged in detailed research, examining a range of source material to uncover evidence and perspectives from the time. They also analysed extant artwork, gaining deeper insights into the Tudor period and the cultural context of Edward VI’s reign.
This engaging exploration has sparked lively discussions and inspired thoughtful analysis, showcasing the children’s curiosity and growing understanding of this pivotal moment in history. Well done, Year 5, for your impressive work as historians!
