Year 5 Explore the Wonders of the Coast
This term, Year 5 have been diving headfirst into their Geography topic on coasts, exploring the fascinating world of waves and the forces that shape our shorelines. As part of their learning, the pupils created fantastic posters that showcased their understanding of how waves are formed, why some waves grow bigger than others, and the key differences between constructive and destructive waves.
The children didn’t just rely on facts, they brought their posters to life with creative illustrations, colourful diagrams, and imaginative explanations that demonstrated both their knowledge and artistic flair. From drawing towering crashing waves to showing the gentle lapping of small waves, every poster was a vivid reflection of their curiosity and attention to detail.
It has been wonderful to see the pupils combine scientific understanding with creative presentation, and their enthusiasm for learning about the power and beauty of the sea has been inspiring. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and can’t wait to see how they continue to explore the natural world in Geography this year!
