Year 5 Students Embark on Malvern Hills Adventure and School Camp
This week, Year 5 students enjoyed an exciting and educational experience combining outdoor learning with practical camping skills in the Malvern Hills and on our school site.
The day began with a trip to the picturesque Malvern Hills, where children took part in geographical and navigational activities designed to enhance their map reading and compass skills.
Following their day in the Malvern Hills, the students returned to school for an overnight camp on the Top Field. The children took great pride in cooking their own dinners on camping stoves and embraced the unique opportunity to sleep in tents under the stars.
Despite a few tired eyes the next morning, the students were full of enthusiasm and ready to resume their learning. Staff praised the children’s resilience and teamwork throughout the experience, which provided valuable lessons beyond the classroom.
The event successfully combined outdoor education with fun and personal development, making it a highlight of the school year.
