Year 5 Master Place Value and Problem Solving

Year 5 have been busy developing their understanding of place value in Maths, with a particular focus on multiplying and dividing numbers by 10, 100 and 1,000. To put their learning into practice, the children took part in a lively game of Who Wants to be a Thousandaire?, testing their knowledge while having lots of fun!

The children also put their problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test by tackling a challenging tangram puzzle. They worked collaboratively, carefully considering different possibilities and persevering as they tried to fit the pieces together.

It has been fantastic to see Year 5 combining mathematical thinking with creativity, teamwork and determination. What a brilliant week of learning!
