Year 5 Residential Adventure at PGL

Year 5 have enjoyed an unforgettable residential trip to PGL, packed full of adventure, challenge and opportunities to build confidence and independence. From the moment they arrived, excitement levels were high as pupils settled into their rooms, shared experiences with friends and prepared for an action-filled few days.

Throughout the trip, the children demonstrated incredible enthusiasm and determination as they took part in a wide range of outdoor activities designed to challenge both mind and body. From scaling climbing walls to tackling the thrilling Leap of Faith and soaring through the air on the Big Swing, pupils showed outstanding bravery as they stepped outside their comfort zones and encouraged one another every step of the way.

Teamwork was at the heart of the experience, with pupils supporting their friends, celebrating each other’s achievements and working together to overcome challenges. It was wonderful to see confidence grow as children discovered new strengths and developed resilience while trying activities for the very first time.

Evenings were just as enjoyable, with time spent relaxing together, sharing stories from the day and strengthening friendships. Living away from home also helped pupils develop independence, responsibility and cooperation, important skills that will support them as they continue their school journey.

The behaviour, positivity and determination shown by Year 5 throughout the residential made staff incredibly proud. The trip created lasting memories, plenty of laughter and a real sense of achievement for everyone involved.

Well done, Year 5, for embracing every moment of this fantastic adventure, a truly memorable experience for all!
