Year 5 Samba Drumming Workshop

On Friday, Year 5 enjoyed a Samba drumming workshop with Nick Ledbury from Glamba Theatrical Drumming Group. They learned about the different instruments found in a Samba band and the tradition of carnivals in Brazil. They worked hard to grasp the complex rhythms and different layers found in this style of music and really enjoyed the challenge of learning and performing a Samba groove. This session formed part of their preparations for Creative Connexions and they are really looking forward to demonstrating what they have learned during the production in March.
