Year 5 Totem Pole Creations Take Shape

Year 5 pupils have been busy creating their own striking totem poles. Using cardboard tubes as a base and applying layers of papier-mâché, they have been working carefully to construct the foundations of their designs.

The project has encouraged pupils to think creatively as they plan the colours, patterns and shapes that will make their totem poles unique. Drawing on their imagination and artistic understanding, they have begun transforming simple materials into impressive works of art.

We have been delighted by the creativity and enthusiasm shown throughout the project so far and look forward to seeing the finished pieces once they have been painted, assembled and stacked into their final totem pole designs.
