Year 5’s Day Learning about the Tudors at Selly Manor

Year 5 had a fantastic day yesterday at Selly Manor to learn about the Tudors as part of their history topic. Their guide, Mary, showed them around the house and they learnt about how Tudors lived, all about the Tudor kings and queens as well as some funny stories about Tudor life.

Velvet said, “The best thing about the trip was hearing some funny stories about how Tudors lived. I enjoyed hearing how they used to put pigs in their beds to warm them up (like a hot water bottle) and it is the origin of the food ‘pigs in blankets’
