Year 5’s Unforgettable Adventure at PGL Liddington!
Our Year 5 pupils have truly embraced the PGL experience, making incredible memories and taking on exciting challenges with enthusiasm and determination! From high-flying thrills to team-building triumphs, this residential trip has been a fantastic opportunity for growth, resilience, and most importantly fun!
Day 1 – Kicking Off with Excitement!
The adventure began with an action-packed aeroball competition, where pupils put their agility and teamwork to the test in this fast-paced, bouncing battle. Next up was the thrilling zip wire—an unforgettable experience for all, with some daring pupils even braving the challenge upside down!
After a well-deserved dinner, the excitement didn’t stop. Pupils headed deep into the woods for Ambush, an epic game of hide-and-seek in the dark, complete with plenty of mud. This nighttime adventure quickly became a firm favourite, setting the tone for an unforgettable trip.
Day 2 – Pushing Boundaries & Conquering Fears
With the sun finally making an appearance, pupils threw themselves into another day of adventure, showing incredible courage and determination. They scaled the climbing wall, putting their strength and perseverance to the test, sharpened their focus in archery, and faced the much-anticipated Giant Swing—soaring through the air with pure exhilaration!
It wasn’t just the pupils stepping up to the challenge our staff joined in too, leading by example and showing that with teamwork, encouragement, and a supportive environment, anything is possible.
After an action-packed day, pupils wound down with a fun-filled quiz, sharing laughter, stories, and reflections on their achievements so far, eager for the final day of adventure ahead.
Final Day – Teamwork, Creativity & Lasting Memories
On the final morning, Year 5 came together for Buggy Building, putting their problem-solving and teamwork skills into practice. Working together to construct their buggies, they demonstrated creativity, collaboration, and plenty of determination!
The trip wrapped up with the Vertical Challenge Wall, an ultimate test of courage and perseverance. Each pupil pushed themselves to new heights, literally and figuratively, finishing the trip on an incredible high.
A huge WELL DONE to all our Year 5 pupils! We are so proud of everything you have achieved during this unforgettable residential trip. Your resilience, teamwork, and adventurous spirit have been truly inspiring. This experience will no doubt stay with you for years to come, what an adventure!
