Aquathlon competition ignites House pride
Last week, all pupils in the Prep School competed in the Inter-House Aquathlon. This popular school event involves all the children swimming an appropriate distance before getting out of the pool, putting on their trainers and racing out of the door to run a suitable distance. The younger children stay on site, but some of the older ones enjoy a run along the riverside.
With 31 races and over 100 competitors, it was once again an amazing event to witness. Excitement was high before each event: for some children this was their very first experience of the Aquathlon event and nerves were high. However, there were many smiles as the children completed their races in the sunshine. All of the children did exceptionally well and the amount of effort put in by each child was very impressive. Each pupil was keen to secure all-important points for their House.
This is a quite unique event, and it is so good to see how the children meet the challenge. There were some very tight finishes, including a Joint First from Harry B and Ace D, who did the long run on the river path.
