Celebrating Chidren’s Achievements in Our Weekly Assembly
What a fantastic week it’s been, full of exciting activities and achievements to celebrate. We are so proud of each and every one of the children for their hard work and accomplishments, both in and out of the classroom.
Our assembly this week began with a delightful performance by Finn and Jack, who impressed us all with their rendition of “Jupiter” on their saxophones. A huge thank you to both boys for sharing their talent and starting our assembly on such a high note!
Year 1: Creativity Shines Bright
- Clara and Claudia: Re-wrote the classic tale of Jack and the Beanstalk, adding their own imaginative twists and flair.
- India Rose, Joan, Rose, Arlo, and Mathilda: Showed their creative talents by crafting beautiful woven designs, learning new techniques, and producing stunning results.
Year 2: Artistic Flair and Hard Work
- Florence, Gracie, Olivia, William, and Elise: Earned 5 merits each for their dedication and achievements in various activities this week.
- Elise, Poppy, and Elizabeth: Created superb paintings that demonstrated their growing skills and artistic expression, leaving everyone impressed.
Year 3: A Week of Creativity and Resilience
- Bella, Tanith, and Alice: Showcased their artistic skills by creating colourful, imaginative paintings in the style of Hundertwasser, exploring bold patterns and vibrant colours.
- Bonnie: Displayed exceptional resilience and teamwork during a challenging hockey match against The Downs, making her a standout player.
- Emily, Noah, Frank, Indie, Alexander, Sadie, Maddie, Bonita-May, Alfie, and Yaseen: Received 5 merits each for their fantastic efforts and accomplishments.
- Alfie: Was recognized for his enthusiasm toward reading and his ability to create inspiring artwork, including a standout Hundertwasser-inspired painting.
- Aoife and Alice: Demonstrated their problem-solving and coding skills by creating perfect squares using Sphero robots in their computing lessons.
Year 4: Stories and Dedication
- Isaac: Wowed us with his imaginative continuation of the story Fred the Anglo-Saxon Boy, displaying excellent narrative skills.
- Fearne, Amelie, and Tilly: Earned 5 merits each for their consistent hard work and achievements throughout the week.
Year 6: Academic Excellence
- Ben, Alex, George, Sophie, and Barnaby: Earned 5 merits each for their outstanding efforts in academics and school projects.
- Mary: Produced an exceptional piece of research into her family history during WW2, combining personal stories with historical accuracy.
Special Mentions
- Indie (Year 3): Created a brilliant model of a pyramid, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail. ( see photo!)
Huge Congratulations to the U11 Girls Hockey Team!
A massive well done to our U11 girls who triumphed at the Hockey Tournament at The Downs Malvern! This is a significant achievement as the last time we won this tournament was in 2017. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to training were evident on the pitch as they earnt the title of Tournament Winners. Fantastic job, girls—we’re incredibly proud of you!
Outside School Achievements
We are thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of our students beyond school. A special shout-out to:
- Maddie: Completing 11 park runs, equating to an impressive half marathon—amazing determination!
- Rupert T: Achieving his 800m Swimming Badge—a fantastic milestone!
- Izzy W: Successfully completing RAD Level 1 Ballet with a distinction!
- Charlotte P: Securing the Pony Club “D” Standard—a brilliant achievement in equestrian skills!
- Raff: Earning his 5m Backstroke Award—keep swimming strong!
- Myla M: Receiving a Certificate of Excellence for her fabulous rainbow artwork featured in an online exhibition as part of the Young Creators initiative—beautiful creativity!
