Reception Explore Our Wider School Grounds

Reception have continued to amaze us with how confidently they are settling into school life. This week, the children have begun learning their first sounds in Phonics and are becoming increasingly familiar with our daily routines and the different lessons they enjoy.

One of the highlights of the week was exploring the wider school grounds. Thankfully, the rain held off as Reception set off on an exciting adventure over to the Prep School to discover more about the school community. Along the way, we visited Matron’s room, school Reception and the Chapel before making our way down to the river, passing College Hall and eventually returning to Pre-Prep.

After all that exploring, the children were certainly ready for their well-deserved snack! It has been wonderful to see Reception growing in confidence, curiosity and independence as they discover all that school has to offer.
