Musical Handwriting in Year 3
Year 3 got musical with their handwriting this week! We warmed up our hands and got our pencils moving to the beautiful sounds of Swan Lake.
Using the music to guide our movements, the children followed a variety of tracing patterns, carefully developing their pencil control while maintaining the correct pencil grip. They listened closely to the rhythm, tempo and changes in the music, allowing it to influence the movement and flow of their pencils.
It was a fun and creative way to prepare our hands for writing, while combining music, movement and handwriting skills. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and showed fantastic concentration as they brought their pencils — and the music — to life!
