Year 4 Bring Science to Life with Stop Motion
Year 4 have been getting creative in Science as they learn how to use Stop Motion animation to support their assessment work. To help them get started, 6P joined 4J for a fantastic session of collaborative learning and discovery.
The Year 6 pupils became the experts, showing their younger peers how to use the Stop Motion app, including how to add and delete slides and adjust the speed of their videos. Working together, the children then put their new skills into practice as they completed an assessment exploring the properties of solids.
There was plenty of curiosity, creativity and enquiry throughout the session, with pupils learning from one another and enjoying the opportunity to bring their scientific ideas to life through technology. It was wonderful to see the older pupils sharing their knowledge and the Year 4 children confidently developing their new skills.
Next Wednesday, Year 4 will be ready to operate solo as they put their Stop Motion skills to the test, creating footage to support their learning about liquids. We can’t wait to see what they create!
